The diversity receiver runs two independent tuner modules and continuously switches to the stronger antenna path, which removes most of the breakup you get from a single-antenna goggle when the aircraft banks.

Connectivity

The Commander V2 accepts a full-size HDMI input, so it can be driven by a ground station, a flight simulator, or any external HDMI source. A dedicated 3.5 mm AV input takes analog video from legacy gear, and a removable head tracker module bay lets you add your own tracking system for antenna tracking setups.

Antenna pairing for the Commander V2

A diversity goggle works best with two antennas of different character: one omnidirectional for close-in and banking flight, one directional for range. The Aomway antenna range covers 12 dBi Yagi and 13 dBi patch directional options plus RHCP circularly polarised sets, all with RP-SMA or SMA options to match the goggle.
