Free Hardware Testing Program for FPV & UAV Builders
We would rather put our transmitters in the hands of pilots who will tear them apart than pay for reviews. Take It. Test It. Keep It. is our long-running programme for FPV pilots, long-range builders and UAV developers: we ship you hardware, you fly it honestly, and you keep it. No scripted PR, no paid positive bias, no obligation to be nice.
What We Ship
Batch availability rotates as new hardware reaches production. Recent batches have included:
- High-power video transmitters — 1.2GHz, 3.3GHz, 5.8GHz, 7.2GHz and 8.5GHz, up to 10W
- Long-range digital links — Apexlink Lite (18km) and Apexlink Pro (40km+)
- Directional and circularly polarised antennas — 12dBi Yagi, 13dBi patch, RHCP sets
- Fiber-optic video and data link modules, spools and accessories
- Ground-station gear — Commander V2 goggles, 7–8.8GHz VRX, thermal cameras
How It Works
- Apply — Fill in the form below. Tell us what you fly, how far you fly it, and what you want to test.
- We review — Our hardware team reviews every application, looking for pilots and builders who already log real data.
- We ship — If your build fits this batch we email a shipping confirmation. We cover the shipping.
- You test and keep it — Fly it to its limits, publish what you find, and the hardware is yours to keep.
What We Ask In Return
Nothing complicated, and nothing that compromises your credibility with your audience:
- Honest findings — a critical review is more useful to us than a flattering one.
- Real data where you can get it: RSSI, noise floor, maximum range, thermal behaviour.
- Unedited flight footage or DVR where relevant.
- A link to the official product page in your description if you publish a review. That is the whole ask.
Who We Are Looking For
We prioritise builders with an audience or a track record between roughly 3,000 and 40,000 followers — pilots who are still genuinely testing hardware rather than repeating a spec sheet. Fixed-wing long-range pilots, long-endurance quad builders and anyone maintaining a real DVR and OSD logging setup are especially welcome. If you fly 5km or more and can show the numbers, apply.

One short form. We reply to every applicant whose build matches the current batch.
Questions Before You Apply
Do I have to send the hardware back?
No. Units shipped under Take It. Test It. Keep It. are yours to keep. We cover outbound shipping, and you keep the hardware whether your findings are positive or negative.
Is there a minimum follower count?
There is no hard cutoff, but the programme is built around creators and builders who can document a test. A small channel with rigorous data beats a large one with a spec-sheet video.
Do you require a positive review?
No, and we would rather you did not write one. A review that documents a real limitation is worth more to us than praise we did not earn.
Can I request a specific product?
Yes — name the model in the form. If it is not in the current batch we will tell you when it is next available rather than sending a substitute.
Which countries do you ship to?
We ship worldwide, though some radio hardware cannot be sent to every destination because of local spectrum and import rules. If your country is restricted for a given frequency band we will offer an alternative model instead.
